Abstract Oil palm fibers have been developed as reinforcement in the composite. These can be produced from fruit, trunk, and frond of oil palm. In this review, fruit fiber for reinforcing composite was focused. consist empty bunch (EFB) mesocarp (MF) fibers. The chemical composition characteristics are described. Furthermore, mechanical properties reported to related surface treatment EFB MF Applications such included review. From some researches, methods conducted with using alkali, silane, acryilic acid, acetic anhydride, hydogen peroxide, microwave, superheated steam. effect these treatments on displayed improvement (tensile, flexural impact strengths) due enhance interface adhesion between matrix after
